Overview:
We are currently seeking a Hardware Engineer to join our Engineering Services team in Owatonna, MN. In this role you will be responsible for the design, prototype, test and documentation of new and existing electronic products consistent with customer cost, schedule, performance and quality requirements. Responsibilities:
Support the development of new products or maintenance of existing products by designing, implementing and testing hardware required to meet product requirements to ensure customer satisfaction.
Participate as an active member of development team; provide technical, schedule and cost status information as required.
Interface with sales and marketing to help define and refine product requirements.
Actively participate in creating hardware-specific product documentation such as the hardware requirement document and hardware design document.
Ensure the developed hardware is of high quality through the use of simulation tools and thorough design verification testing.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required; Masters Degree in Engineering is a plus
Minimum of 5
years of embedded hardware development experience is required
Minimum of 3
years developing or writing specifications is required
Design experience including both digital and analog technologies required
Signal integrity analysis and PCB layout constraints documentation & review is required
Experience with Electro-Magnetic Interference and Electro-Magnetic Compliance (EMI/EMC) design issues required
Knowledge of embedded software development in C/C+
is preferred
Vehicle system knowledge experience is preferred
Proven ability to lead engineering design teams on complex projects that involve electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, technicians, drafters, software engineers, and application test engineers
Field Program Gate Arrays (FPGA) and Complex Programmable Logic Devices (CPLD) design experience with VHDL preferred
