Inspect, upend, and load coils onto the unwinder and feed coils through lubricator and into press Set-up maintenance and operation of the upender, unwinder, lubricator, and cupping press Set-up maintenance and operation of the body makers, trimmers, and conveying systems Inspect and monitor, then put the can specifications into the computer (flange wall thickness - mid-wall thickness - dome depth - trim can height) Perform visual checks and cup weights to ensure that process is in compliance Complete required paperwork and documentation such as coil log, check sheets, etc.
Maintain cleanliness of all work areas and machines and practice proper safety procedures What you need to be a Machine Operator:
High School Diploma or GED preferred Advanced mechanical skills (including working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics) and ability to use precision measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.
) Thorough knowledge and understanding of manufacturing process, equipment, and quality specifications Demonstrated involvement in safety and knowledge of safety regulations which apply to work functions Basic knowledge of computer systems, gauges, tools, and equipment Ability to safely operate production forklift Take the first step on your new career pathapply now!
