ACCOUNTING CLERK | MONDAY - FRIDAY | 8A - 5P

The Accounting/Purchasing Clerk is responsible for ordering items for the facility and ensuring items arrive when needed.


Duties And
Responsibilities:



  • Answer Phone & Greet Customers

  • Data entry & daily coordination of requisitions and purchase orders

  • Evaluation of sales tax status for purchases

  • Obtain pricing quotes from vendors

  • Weekly processing of PCard purchases

  • Manage Certificate of Liability process

  • Inventory Control & Office Supply ordering

  • Backup payroll processing

  • Assist Human Resources, Production Planning & Accounting departments with various administrative duties & reporting

  • Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned

Minimum Requirements



  • High School/GED required; minimum 2 years experience in accounting or AS in Accounting in a manufacturing plant a plus

  • Minimum 2 years requisition/purchase order experience with emphasis in manufacturing sales tax exemption

  • Minimum 3 years experience in administrative /customer service

  • Must possess highly effective communication skills, be detail oriented, self-motivated and organized

  • Must have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong skills in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Requirements



  • Payroll experience preferred

  • Knowledge of AS400 a plus

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
