We currently have an opportunity for a Baan Programmer/Analyst who will support our business critical systems by creating innovative programming solutions in Baan and other systems; and ensure the implementation of solutions that support the manufacturing and distribution operations.
Tasks
Provide development and production support to the key, mission-critical systems for a large Baan installation.
Possess expert level knowledge with Baan development tools.
Provide support to business leaders and their teams. This will include communicating with these teams to discover the best solution for business issues in the context of the systems that we are using.
Impart technical expertise on data within the ERP systems, as well as the interfaces to the ERP systems
Participate as a cross-functional team member and provide expertise to solve business problems in Manufacturing, Distribution, Order entry and Finance.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business, related field or equivalent experience required
Minimum 5 years experience in BAAN programming
Knowledge of ERP systems and their design and concepts
Basic knowledge of Oracle and SQL
Experience in a manufacturing, financial or distribution environment would be desirable. Baan applications, i.e.: Connect Ship (Distribution) and/or Vertex (Sales Tax system)
Strong leadership skills, capable leading, counseling and coaching in a team environment
A hands-on leadership style exhibited by regular and frequent presence with customers and operational facilities
Must be available to provide 24 hour support, based on business needs
Seeking candidate that lives in/near Owatonna, MN; may consider candidate that lives in/near Warren, MI
